Redhill 1-6 Glenn Hoddle Academy
Redhill manager Simon Colbran described todays game as exactly what he expected pointing out that it's not about the result in pre-season
matches.
A bigger than usual crowd of nearly 150 saw an entertaining Academy side dominate the game with 2 touch passing throughout the majority of the
match. Redhill's goal came on 58 minutes via Gavin Gordon.
One or two of the players were visibly down after the result but Simon Colbran only had positives from the encounter. "We got what we expected, the
GHA train twice a day every day and many of these lads will go on to play for top pro clubs."
Colbran continued "But we stuck with it, we stuck to the task, we kept doing the right things. Pre-season isn't about the result, it's about what
we can learn from them and it's about getting fit."
Despite the result, Redhill won many fans. Simon Colbran and a handful of players took two coaching sessions for children before the game.

Surrey Senior Cup
Redhill are at home to Croydon FC in the 1st Round of the Surrey Senior Cup. In the Surrey Premier Cup, Redhill Reserves are away to Raynes Park
Vale Reserves in Round 1

FA Competitions
In the FA Cup, Redhill are drawn AWAY at Wick in the Extra Preliminary Round, to be played on Saturday 20th August. The winners are
drawn AWAY at either Sevenoaks Town or Ash United. The winners of THAT match are then AWAY to Epsom & Ewell or Croydon or Chipstead in the
1st Qualifying Round.
The FA Vase has Redhill drawn away at Selsey. The winners are at HOME to Colliers Wood United or Dorking, then the draw see's either of
those teams AWAY at St. Francis Rangers, South Park or Badshot Lea.
The Youth Cup has Redhill at HOME to Welling United, the winners are AWAY to Lingfield then in the second Qualifying Round, the winners are
at HOME to Molesey, Sutton United or Dulwich Hamlet.
