Redhills recent turn in fortune continued with a fine 2-1 defeat over 2nd in the table Pagham.
Redhill came out from the start detirmined to win the points they felt they should have had in the reverse fixture. Andy Atkin had a close range header but it was an easy save for James Binfield, but Pagham also had a point to prove as a recent run of poor results has seen there 100% record completely wiped off the board. An early chance for Pagham resulted in a goaline scramble, but it was Kaiyne Woolery who saved the Reds with a brilliant goal line clearance. Woolery had an excellent game and it's no surprise he's gaining some attention and quickly become a fan favourite among the Redhill supporters. At the other end of the pitch, he put in a cross that caused problems for the Pagham defence and John Westcott got in a strike at the back post, however his volley attempt bounced wide.

Twiced this season, Leon Dussard has been cheeky enough to attempt a long range effort from a dead ball and twice he's scored them, goal that would have been shown on the TV every day if we were talking LA Liga. He tried it again, but his shot following Aaron Murphy's shot lay off whizzed just wide of the post, another effort that would have given the 'keeper no chance and may have require repairs to the net.
Dussard then provided John Westcott with a lovely pass, and Westcotts cross was just cut out by Lewis Hyde, but Gavin Gordon pounced on the loose ball but his effort flew wide of the target.

Redhill continued to pile on the pressure. Kaiyne Woolery saw a shot go 2 yards wide following a dazzling run and Gavin Gordin saw a headed effort go wide.

Despite Redhill's chances, they couldn't find the net, and much of the play was in the middle of the park, with some interesting battles that referee Nick Brown did very well to control and keep any mischief under wraps.

John Westcott made an early exit when he was substituted for Youngster Alex Scott, Westcott had been suffering from a hamstring injury and Redhill hope he can recover quickly based on the previous weeks performance against Sidley United.

With 4 minutes of the 1st half remaining, Redhill suffered a set back as Pagham took the lead. Against the run of play, Howard Neighbour capatalised on a ricochet, in the box, controlled it well and slide the ball beyind Chris May. But the gloom didn't last long. With just 1 minute left to play, Charlie Farmer nicked the ball from in front of Pagham goalie James Binfield and tapped it across the line to see the teams go in level at the break.

It didn't take long for Redhill to get the lead. On 48 minutes, the Reds won a corner which Andy Atkin responded well to, volleying home to the anger of the Pagham support, and indeed the team.
Redhill got the ball down well and played. Many will argue this is when the sdide are at their best, confident on the ball, not scared to run at their opponents.
Gavin Gordon was desperate to hit the 20 mark with his goals, and he had a number of efforts including a well driven shot that flew wide across goal.

Redhill should have got a third when Aaron Murphy found himself clean through after a defensive spliutting pass by Alex Scott, however it took a good save from Binfield to deny the midfielder.

With 12 minutes left to go, Vhris May kept his side in the lead with a magnificent double save that could easily have gone wrong, but full credit to the Redhill number one on another set of close range stops.

The Reds continued their good football with Andy Atkin linking well with Gavin Gordon up top, allowing Gordon to cross into the box. Alex Scott struck an excellent volley but it didn't trouble the 'keeper on this occasion, and he was in again moments later from a pin point long pass by Atkin, this time, Scott's shot was saved.

With only seconds of injury time left, Chris May again made a brilliant save, luckily for Redhill Pagham couldn't quite get to the rebound and cleared, giving all the points to the home side in a nailbiting finish.
