Simon Colbrans new look Redhill side earned a fantastic 3-0 win at home to Lancing, a side that many are tipping for the title.
Colbran gave Alex Scott his first senior start after impressing in the Under 18 side and on the occasions he came off the bench. Scott grabbed Redhill's second goal after Charlie Farmer gave Redhill an early lead. The returning Gavin Gordon, recently re-signed from East Grinstead also got on the scoresheet.

Recent league form from Redhill has been nothing short of horrible, with just 1 win in 5, but Saturdays result has given the club a boost after many are tipping Lancing as potential title winners. Reds chairman John PArk described Lancing as the best side he's seen this seasob after their 3-1 victory over the Reds at Culver Road in early November.
Simon Colbran played a much changed side, keeping faith in youngster Kaiyne Woolery and adding youth team member Alex Scott to the starting line-up for the first time.
Luke HAckett also made the starting 11 and along with Charlie Farmer in the center of defence, had a terrific game, helping the Reds to only their 5th clean sheet of the season, Chris May returned to the number one spoot after fully recovering from injury.
Redhill made the best possible start, going 1-0 up on only 7 minutes. Gavin Gordon linked up well with John Westcott, who skinned his full back before crossing in low for Charlie Farmer to touch the ball home. 1-0's are never enough for Redhill, and even 2-0 is rarely enough for Redhill. Almost immediately after scoring, they were on the back foot and John Westcott saved off the line following an effort from a Lancing corner, but Redhill doubled their lead on 9 minutes. Alex Scott snatched his first senior goal with a fine left footed strike that squeezed inside the post.
Gavin Gordon was the architect in the move after latching onto a Luke Hackett clearance.

Much of the first half saw Redhill defending their clean sheet, as already noted, Luke Hackett and Charlie Farmer had excellent games, and Chris May also did his bit to stop the home side from conceeding, making 2 brilliant saves in 5 minutes, the first a tip wide from Jack Haywards shot, then he kept out a Darren Boswell close ragne effort.

There was a Moment of controversy before the half time, as the ball sliced off the boot of a Redhill defender towards the feet of Chris May, who picked the ball up. The Referee gave had ball and Lancing were awarded a free kick inside the Redhill area, however, notihng came of it.

Redhill didn't have their backs to the wall as much in the second half and had chances to make it 3-0 with Wayne Clark striking over and having a shot well saved,
Lancings Darren Annis got into the Ref's book after handling the ball towards goal in the area, and that was the best of the visitors chances in the 2nd half.

Redhill did get the third goal on 84 minutes. Alex Scott made an excellent pass to Gavin Gordon, who cleverly beat the offside trap and used the acres of space ahead of him before smshing the ball into the bottom corner.

With only minutes remaining, Lancings Titus Paterson was sent off after a disgraceful tackle on Aaron Murphy.

Redhill will be delighted with this result and it's hoped the rejuvenation will go a long way for the remainder of the season.
