Pagham started the brighter side, almost camped in the Redhill half for the first few minutes. Star striker Scott Murfin seemed to take a knock
that no doubt left the Pagham half with a slight worry, but after a minute or so, he obviously shook off whatever it was that seemed troubling.
Redhill, though had the first decent shot on goal. Spectators saw some brilliant work by the young Kaiyne Woolery before moving the ball onto
Scott Harris, whose powerful shot was very well saved over the bar by James Binfield.
Leading up to the 10 minute mark, Redhill certainly settled and got more into the game, Kaiyne Woolery had an effort of his own that went wide,
then just a few short minutes later, Billy Medlock was the architect in a move that saw Wayne Clark hit the post.
Redhill took the lead on 18 minutes. Charlie Farmer put a ball forward that the defence allowed to bounce, letting Wayne Vlark nod the ball past
the center back marking him, pushing on further into the box, he still had it all to do but coolly slotted the ball into the net to give the visitors
a 1-0 advantage.
The lead didn't last long however, as Pagham put on the pressure and following a scramble from a corner, Ryan Briggs saved an effort off the line,
only illegally with his hands, not only giving the home side a penalty, but a Red card for his troubles too. Scot Murfin stepped up for the kick
and netted on 22 minutes to draw his side level.
Chances came Paghams way and Reds 'keeper Dean Ruddy had to save well more than once to keep the score a draw, but Redhill also battled on with
Billy Medlock having a good shot that was deflected wide before the half time whistle.
Redhill had a penalty shout early in the second half when Tom Graves was flattened in the box, but nothing was given and minutes later, at the
other end after Dean Ruddy made another good save, Graves saved the rebounded effort off the line, although it turned out the assistant
referee's flag was up for offside anyway, Graves wasn't to know that and he did well to keep his side in it.
On the 72nd minute, Pagham took the lead after another scramble in the box, this time James Temple got the tap in to put the league leaders in
front.
Redhill tried to change a few around with Aaron Murphy, Nial Egan and Alex Scott all coming off the bench, but they couldn't make much happen in
front of goal and Pagham made the extra man count. The Reds were very uilucky again when Kaiyne Woolery, in full stride with the ball was clipped
and lost his footing in the box, but amazingly, play continued, and for the second time in this match, Redhill felt hard done by, in what seemed
an obvious penalty by both sets of supporters.
