Redhill's first half performance was almost as poor as the previous Saturdays at Lancing. Although in fairness, Bridges started well and came at the Reds without mercy.Chris May had to pull off a good save early on from a one on one chance, but it took only 4 minutes for Three Bridges to take the lead.Abubacarr Touray took advantage of a poor Redhill pass in defence and squared the ball in Tom Rivers, who tapped the ball into the net. 1-0 to Bridges so early on.

Redhill attempted to get back in it almost immediately and Wayne Clark had a strike that was very well saved by Simon Lehkji
Still Bridges came forward, however, and had further chances to double their lead. Siao Blackwood hit a beautiful volley at goal, which forced Chris May into another fabulous save, and moment later, James Grant finished off a lovely Bridges move, but his effort went wide. Grant had another chance just minutes later, shooting through a crowd from the edge of the box. Seeing it late, Chris May did well to pull of another save.
The Redhill goalkeeper continued to keep is side in it when Touray had a shot after picking up on a loose ball, and again, May saved well.

Redhill managed to carve out an opurtunity, their best of the game so far. Aaron Murphy showed off some excellent ball keeping skills before knocking the ball forward through a tight crowd into the box, Billy Medlock touched it forst time and Scott Harris latched onto it, striking first time across the goal, he was very unlucky to see the ball go wide.

The Referee stopped the game after Billy Medlock got injured, at first it seemed serious. Something happened in the crowd of players that Leon Dussard took offece to, provoking him into a violent attack on a bridges player, earning the Redhill full back nothing but a Red card, putting his side down to 10 men.
In a tactical move, Brandon Sebuliba came on for Eddie Koboah.

Finally in the first half, Billy Mdlock struck a feww kick that was delfected, but Lehkji got to it and made the save.

In the second half, Aaron Murphy was substituted for Kaiyne Woolery, using the second out of three substitutes, unbeknown to all at the time, of course, this will have a bearing on the final result later on.

Despite down to ten men, Redhill were resilient, and kept going, never once giving up hope, however Bridges made use of the extra man and kept coming at Redhill. Chris May pulled off a spectacular point blank save from a header, but Redhill somehow did get a goal back, although in very controversial circumstances, it was certainly deserved.
Wayne Clark went on a magical, skillful run down the left flank, getting into the box. He was fouled on the six yard box, but managed to pull the ball back across the goal. The referee whistled, seemingly to give Redhill the penalty, however, Scott Harris fired the bacll into the back of the net, Redhill celevrated, the referee pointed to the center spot, goal given. However there were massive protests from Three Bridges, but after consulting his linesman, Redhill were awarded the goal. 1-1 after 73 minutes.
Reds physio Loreen Woodward was still treating Wayne Clark on the pitch as Bridges were allowed to kick off, finally being spotted before the center kick was re-taken, this ended a mad 5 minutes.

Youngster Andy Beesley took to the field, replacing Billy Medlock, the final substitution used, again, no-one could have predicted what extra time had in store for Redhill. Before Extra time came, however, there were further chances for Redhill, Wayne Clark had a shot defelcted after another one of his runs, then Kaiyne Woolery put in a dangerous cross that was nearly turned into the back of the net by a Bridges defender. Lehkji fumbled it before recovering and stopping it from going in.

Redhill began extra time the better side, Kayne Woolery crossed in for Wayne Clark, but his header only glanced out to the wing, then Clark created his own chance again but shot wide across the goal.
Three Bridges hit the post with a belter of a shot following a clearance from a corner, then came the turning point in extra time.
Mark Zydonik fell awkwardly. It appears the central defender has a ligament injury and may be out for some time, but Redhill were now down to 9 and makes the earlier sending off all the more sgnificent, Redhill were on top and it waas felt that even with 10 men, Redhill could have nicked the win, but with only 9, it was a mountain to climb.
Bridges went 2-1 up on 104 minutes via Tim Rivers, grabbing his second, a lovely header from a cross on the right wing.

Reds boss Simon Colbran tried to salvage something, going 3-3-2. It was probably the only change Colbran could make with too few players on the field, and Three Bridges wrapped it up on 110 minutes when Abubacarr Touray scored with a simple tap in almost on the line, Redhill protested at the probably off-side, but it wasn't to be and the Holders of the John O'Hara Cup go through to the semi finals.
