Redhil came into this game off the back of 3 straight winsand looked to progress in one of only 2 cup competitions they remain in. The winners of this game were set for an away trip to Three Bridges, a side that has had decent cup success over Redhill in recent years, but certainly something manager Simon Colbran will be looking to overturn in the next round of this competition.

Both sides defended well in the opening 20 inutes with little goal mouth action, and the ball rarely saw the inside of either 18 yard box. A little bit of sloppy play from each side contributed, but on the whole, both teams always seemed to have the right man at the right place each time the ball even nearly threatened a goal area.
Hailsham had an early shout for a free kick when appeals were made to the referee over Reds 'keeper Chris May handling the ball just outsdie the box, but the game was allowed to continue without a free kick,
Hailsham's first chance was a ball by Meshach Smith hat was well cut out by Tom Graves, then Andy Atkin hit a shotfor Redhill that flew just over in the game first effort after 23 minutes, hoever Redhill took the lead after 17 minutes when Aaron Murphy linked up superbly with John Westcott who put in a lovely low cross that Billy Medlock tapped in easily for his first of the game.

However, Hailsham Town were resiliant and came back with a goal of their own on 33 minutes. Ashley Jarvis put through a well calculated ball forward that striker Shane Saunders latched onto and slotted past Chris May at his near post.

Redhill then created a few more chances in the 1st half, Eddie Koboah set up Andy Atkinwho shot wide, then Billy Medlock had ashot well saved by Russell Tanner.
Hailsham finished the half well with Mark French striking over the bar and Shane Saunders having astrike at goal really well saved by Chris May in the Redhill goal.
Hailsham's number 1 Rusell Tanner provided a good 2nd half display with a number of saves.Firstly a good tip over from an Andy Atkin header, then he held the ball well from a RyanBriggs free kick.
A further save from a John Westcott effort was produced by Tanner, and in all honesty, he forced the game to go into extra time.

Redhill made it 2-1 on 92 minutes after John Westcott went on a superb run before squaring the ball for Medlock to tuck away hissecond of the game.
Scoring early in extra time forced the visitors to chase the game and only provided more space for Redhill when puching forward.
Medlock saw a very good effort brilliantly saved again by Tanner, Billy Medlock completed his hat-trick on 104 minutes when he cleverly popped the ball over Tanner, who was already on his way down, expecting a shot.
Meshack Smith had another chance for Hailsham, hitting the bottom of the post, then Jon Difford saved a ball off the line.
Redhill completed the scoring on 115 minutes when Scott Harris put away a lovely Medi Koroma pass with a fine strike to make it 4-1 to Redhill.

Eddie Koboah won apenalty for Redhill after being fouled 3 times in the box, going for a weaving run in the final seconds of the game, with the spot kic finally being given by the referee.
Koboahstepped up to take the kick and saw it saved well by Russell Tanner who didn't really deserve to concede 4 goals.
The penalty turned out to be the final kick of the game. Click Here to view photos.
