Redhill put 4 passed Worthing United despite not playing at their best. It wasn't the worst performacne either and it's refreshing to see the team finally score so many goals and makes one wonder how many could be put away when the side are at their best.
Assistant manager Mike Maher was asked about the performance. "I felt in the 1st half we were a little lackluster in front of goal, we created a number of chances we should have put away, but we were a goal up at half time and knew the next goal was crucial."
Worthing actually started slightly brighter, coming at Redhill who began the game a little sloppy in midfield, also giving the ball away from the back line. Jon Difford produced a fine tackle on United Alex Thompson just before he pulled the trigger, but in all honesty Redhill bossed the game from then on. "I thought we were in complete control, we defended set pieces tremendously well, and didn't give them a sniff on goal in the 1st half".
On the 16th minute, Andy Atkin had a strike after controlling the ball with his right boot and shooting with his left, but Worthing 'keeper Mark Oldroyd, who was fantastic throughout, made the ball his.
Redhill scored their 1st on the 18th minute. Billy Medlock worked the ball well before finding Atkins run with a square pass, giving Atkin no problems with the effort which he coolly placed into the net.

Worthing nearly got back in it immediately, but again it was Redhill's longest serving player, Jon Difford, who made the block on a shot by Simon Catt after he somehow found himself with space in the box.
"We've earned 10 points from the last possible 12, and the boys are rolling in confidence. We've been working in training, getting into the habbit of flooding the box. Early in the season we had chances to lay the ball off but there were no options, now all of sudden we have two or three options, and when a player has the chance to go themselves, their choosing instead to pass the ball to a team mate." Said Maher.
There were further 1st half chances for Redhill, with Andy Atkin hitting the cross bar with a header, capping off a wonderful move involving Eddie Koboah and Ryan Briggs. Oldroyd then pulled off two good saves, from Aaron Murphy and Andy Atkin respectively.
Atkin then showed an example of not being greedy when perhaps he should have struck an effort, but instead laid the ball off to Medlock who bent his effort inches wide.

Aaron Murphy doubled Redhill's lead 9 minutes into the second half after he put away a nice touch by Atkin, and then only 5 minutes later Redhill were awarded a penalty for a handball in the box. Aaron Murphy stepped up and tucked it away neatly to give the vivitors a 3-0 lead.
Chris May didn't let boredom sdet in and when he was called upon, he produced a fine save from Alex Thompson, and then moments later another superb stop from substitute Cyril Agnaez, who troubled the Reds since coming off the bench.
As the game wore on, Redhill began to tire and a mistake by Tony Browne let Lucas Mann in on goal and he knocked the ball passed Chris May.
Maher was asked about the strength and depth of the Redhill squad, "We as a management team need to sit down and talk about the last couple of games. We have lots of players banging on the door for a starting place, and it;s hard to drop a player who's done well in the absence of a returning player who has previously donw well.".
Redhill wrapped the game up on 87 minutes as Billy Medlock used the time and space he eanred to strike in off the post and capped off a good result for Redhill.
