Peacehaven is always a difficult place to attempt a win, the side always have quality and strength and many felt that a point away to Peacehaven
is a good result, however the manor of which brought about the result had Redhill gritting their teeth and it's difficult to put into works in a
public forum without falling foul of the relevent authorities who will no doubt rather censor certain opinions.
In the first 30 seconds, Peacehaven were awarded a free kick which was whiiped in well through a crowded area and Adam Kneller stuck out a foot to
poke the ball over the line, however, there was only 5 minutes on the clock when Andy Atkin made it 1-1 after he created the chances himself with
some good ball work before letting fly with his left boot.
However, on 10 minutes, 'Haven restored their lead when Wes Millis headed past Chris May from what was, in the opinion of many, an unfair set
piece awarded to the home side for an apparent hand ball.
The Reds started to dominate the 1st half with Wayne Clark in particular a constant threat every time he had the ball. A performance that's been
typical of his season as he somehow manages to glue the ball to his feet and come out of near impossible traps with the ball still in his
possession.
Jon Difford had an excellent chance with a header at the back post that flew across the face of the goal and was mere inches wide, moments later
the same thing happened with Atkin this time heading wide.
The Peacehaven goalkeeper Jake Buss produced an excellent display, particularly in the 2nd half, but he showed what he was capable of in the 1st
half when he got down well wot his right to tip a Tom Graves header wide.
Redhill continued to have the best of possession but faield to threaten the home sides goal too often, although there were missed chances from John
Westcott, whose effort was well saved, Andy Atkin who headed over from Jon Difford's well delivered cross and Gavin Gordon, brought on as a sub,
brought out the best from Jake Buss when the 'Haven 'keeper made a string of saves to keep his side in the lead. Efforts from Billy Medlock and
Kaiyne Woolery were also well saved from Buss.
Matt Hill was called upon to save an effort off the line, so close for Redhill, but they couldn't seem to get their second goal until it finally
came in the 89th minute when Andy Atkin turned in a superb Scott Harris free kick with his head to earn Redhill a point.
Suddenly Redhill had the momentum and looked likely to take all three point until the referee stunned everybody by playing only 2 minutes
injury time.
