Redhill advanced into the 1st qualifying rounf of the FA Cup after a hard fought Preliminary Round game away at Kent Premier Division side Sevenoaks Town.
Redhill had a very quick start and dominated the game in the frst 10 minutes, threatening the Oaks goal on a number of occasions, the best chance falling to defender Charlie Farmer, who struck just wide after a slip by Royce Greenidge. Stefan Joseph also had a very good chance, seeing his effort saved off the line after he did well to slot the ball passed 'keeper Pat Brennan, who got a touch make life difficult for Joseph.
"In the fitst 15 mnutes, if we just had a bit more desire in the box, the game would have been finished straight away". Said Reds boss Simon Colbran.
However, it was Sevenoaks who took the lead on 14 minutes, against the run of play after a quick break and high ball that eluded Mark Zydonik and Richmond Kissi shot in to the bottom corner, giving 'keeper Robbie Whittaker no chance.

Colbran said, "Once they got the goal it gave them a bit of belief and it made things harder for ourselves". However, after an uncertain 10 minutes, Redhill got a goal back through Charlie Farmer on 25 minutes, after the ball was bobbling around in the box and legs flying everywhere, the defender got in a shot and ruffled the net to make the scores level.
"We stuck at it, the player kept doing what we asked them to, and eventually, we came out on top." Redhill came out with a different look for the game and Colbran described his approach, "I've been thinking about it [changing the formation], but I thought, no, we'll keep it our way, but then I thought, actually, let's match them, get at them and see if they can cope with us."
The first half saw further chances for Redhill, one in particular from Medi Koroma, who attempted an overhead kick, but was probably too close to the goal and the ball was always rising.
Sevenoaks' skillful Richard Morgan weaved and ran his way goalwards, unleashing an effort that caught Whittaker offguard and he spilled it wide to the releif of the strong travelling Redhill support.

Redhill took the lead early in the second half, on 48 minutes. Wayne Clark did superbly to cross quickly for Scott Harris on the back post, whose header was saved, but Gavin Gordon was on hand to knock in the rebound.
"The goals weren't screamers, but we've been talking about the passion and desire, the will to win, we're always there, looking to do that little bit extra." Colbran commented.
Aaron Murphy made his return to the team coming on for Stefan Joseph and despite lacking a little match fitness, did well and got involved in some good passages of play.
Oaks defender Tom Skelton had a shot go over and Redhill's Charlie Farmer nearly got a second with a back post header that went inches over.
Redhill were awarded a penalty on 68 minutes when a Medi Koroma cross was handled in the box. The build up involved great work from Leon Dussard, Andy Atkin and Aaron Murphy. Captian Andy Atkin stepped up to take the kick and made no mistake, creating a two goal cushion for the visitors.
Tom Skelton saw a deep cross saved onto the pst by Robbie Whittaker and Substitute Clinton Moore had a shot saved from a free kick that was awarded in the area for a back pass.
Redhill's youth product Alex Scott also came off the bench and was very impressive, showing quick feet and pace.
"Away from home in the FA Cup is always hard, whoever you pay against, it's always difficult, you've got to travel and do a professional job, and that's what we've done again today.
