Redhill manager Simon Colbran said the team have the "will to win" after their second 1-0 win in two games.
The first half followed roughly the same pattern as the one on Saturday with both sides creating chances but always a few nerves in the bellies
of the Redhill supporters, so desperate to see their team get off to a good start.
Simon Colbran said "On Saturday, we were strong at the end, and again tonight. We've just got that bit of togetherness, that will to win."
Redhill were unlucky not to go in winning at half time after hitting the bar twice. first of all Stefan Joseph headed against the woodwork, then
as the half drew to a close, Wayne Clarke spotted Shayne Goldsmith off his line and opted for the lob which was only a lick of paint away.
East Grinstead had chances via Liam Baitup, who shot just wide after Scott Harris lost the ball in the center of the park, Leroy Huggins
struck an effort at Chris May after a lovely footballing move and John-Paul Collier also had an effort that Chris May saved superbly.
Stefan Joseph shot wide of the Grinstead goal from inside the box and also latched onto a John Westcott cross, but the header went over.
Redhill edged the second half, but it could have all gone wrong after Tom Lyons curved a free kick goalwards, but it found the upright.
Both teams played good football and it was a nice spectacle. Colbran brought on the lively Medi Koroma and Clint Moore to mark his debut for the
Lobsters and both impressed. "Medi's a decent player, when he's 100% fit, he's going to be pushing to start." Colbran commented. "Clint also came
on and did well, held the ball up well and his experienced showed."
Redhill got the goal they deserved on 86 minutes when Clint Moore picked up a loose ball and whipped it in low for Wayne Clarke who cooly side
footed past the 'keeper. With 2 wins out of 2 now, Redhill look ahead to Saturdays FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie at Wick with more new faces
in the pipeline including Andy Ducille and Eddie Koboah who have both signed and Dominic Douglas and Andrew Dalhouse have also committed themselves.
When asked how tough it would be to break into the team at present, Colbran said: "It's looking good. There's competition for places all over the
pitch. You'll never win the league with eleven players." Colbran was also quizzed on man management, with the task of keeping good players happy,
but the Lobsters boss was confident that it's healthy. "We can't hide the fact we want to get into the top 3. When things are good, and players
are having fun in training, and people are getting involved, it's surprising how many players want to stay and fight for their places. The players
we have here are fighters. They want to win and they want to get in the team. We've got a good bunch of lads." Colbran concluded.
